Natural Sciences Image Library
Welcome to the Natural Sciences Image Library (NSIL). We are a photographic stock library specialising in natural science images, both pure and applied from New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific.

Our experience in the photographic and publishing industries spans 17 years and our collection has been accumulated over the last 40 years.

Examples of pure sciences pictures we hold:
flora (mosses, lichens, ferns, gymnosperms, monocots, dicots), fauna (annelids, molluscs, echinoderms, crustacea, insects, spiders, fish, frogs, reptiles, birds, mammals), fungi, conservation and ecology, geology and earth sciences, botany and adaptations.

Examples of applied sciences pictures we hold:
agriculture, horticulture, beekeeping, forestry.

Image library coverage
We specialise in natural science images that are of scientific and/or 'technological' interest and importance.

Searching
To start searching, click Image search (in the left window). We have a large collection of images not yet represented on this web site, so if you can't find what you want, just e-mail, phone or fax us (contact details). We will send low resolution images as an e-mail attachment for you to select from. There is no charge for this service.

Changes to Image Search page
We have recently improved our main Image Search page. You can now see up to 90 thumbnail images at a time. We have also increased the size of preview images. To find detailed information on each image, click on its thumbnail.
